Step into a world of pure imagination this July as the Broadway sensation brings 3D hologauze magic and chocolate rivers to The Theatre at Solaire.

Manila is about to get a taste of pure imagination.

For the first time, the Roal Dahl’s hit Broadway musical “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” will have its Manila premiere. The show runs at The Theatre at Solaire from July 8 to July 26, 2026.

This stop is part of a massive global tour. The production is scheduled to travel for two to three years across Asia, the Middle East, and India. It will visit leading cities, including Manila, Hong Kong, Singapore, Beijing, Shanghai, Hainan, Taipei, and Seoul.

The story follows young Charlie Bucket as he finds a golden ticket. He wins a tour of Willy Wonka’s mysterious factory. From chocolate rivers to nut-sorting squirrels and mischievous Oompa-Loompas, the musical dazzles with eye-popping visuals, larger-than-life characters, immersive delight for the audience, and toe-tapping music.

The musical includes iconic songs from the 1971 film. Fans can look forward to “Pure Imagination” and “The Candy Man.”

A visual spectacle powered by 3D technology

This production uses cutting-edge technology. It features special effects and 3D hologauze technology. Las Vegas illusion designer Tim Clothier joined the Broadway team to create new stage wizardry. This ensures the factory feels like a world where the impossible is possible.

The Golden Ticket: how to book your seats

Demand for the Manila premiere is expected to be sky-high. GMG Productions has announced a staggered ticketing schedule to give local fans the best chance at securing prime seats.
