Lady Radar whispers: When a man gets into trouble, especially the kind he brought upon himself, there’s one safety net he knows he can still fall back on: family.

Self-Made Man (SMM) may come from a prominent and well-established showbiz clan, but from the start he was determined to carve out a name entirely his own. Rather than ride on the family brand, SMM built his own. Early in his career, he dabbled in performing, showing promise in front of the spotlight. But when marriage entered the picture, SMM stepped away from performing and redirected his energy elsewhere. These days, he has reinvented himself as a power player behind the scenes, collaborating with some of the country’s top performers and steering projects that keep his name circulating in industry circles.

The high cost of independent ambition

Taking a different path, however, also meant stepping away from the safety net that comes with family guidance. With no one constantly checking his impulses, SMM sometimes finds himself charging ahead with plans that may not be fully thought through.
