Actor reveals sudden dizziness led to emergency tests and Neuro ICU monitoring.
Actor JC Santos has assured fans that he is recovering well after a brief hospitalization that saw him undergo a series of medical tests and monitoring in a Neuro ICU.
In a candid social media post, Santos shared a black-and-white photo of himself lying in a hospital bed, accompanied by the short but alarming caption: “Kumaway si aling edad,” a humorous Filipino expression suggesting that age may finally be catching up with him.
The actor later followed up with a longer statement, revealing that the health scare began when he suddenly woke up feeling dizzy.
“One day I woke up feeling dizzy, and before I knew it, I was in the emergency room with wires attached to my chest, listening to machines beep around me,” he wrote.
According to Santos, doctors subjected him to a battery of examinations, including MRI scans, blood tests, and a stress echocardiogram, while he was kept under close observation in a Neuro ICU to determine the cause of his symptoms.
Despite the alarming experience, the actor reassured supporters that the condition turned out not to be serious.
“I’m okay, and thankfully it wasn’t anything too serious,” he said.
Santos reflected on the incident as a possible reminder to slow down and prioritize rest after pushing himself too hard.
“Maybe this was life’s way—or a divine intervention—telling me to slow down and get some much-needed rest,” he added.
The actor expressed gratitude to friends, family, and fans who reached out with messages of concern and support throughout his hospital stay.
The good news for theatergoers is that Santos has already been discharged and is recovering well. He also confirmed that he will still be performing in the upcoming scheduled shows of “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 4.”
“Thank you again for all the love. It means more than you know,” he wrote. “The show must go on.”
Known for his acclaimed performances in film, television, and theater, Santos remains one of the country’s most respected actors, making news of his hospitalization a cause for concern among fans. Fortunately, the actor appears to be back on his feet—and ready to return to the stage.
