The actress earns praise for faith and performance as fans rally behind her return following past struggles.
Award-winning actress Katherine Luna drew an outpouring of support after sharing a quiet moment of gratitude during a visit to the Antipolo Cathedral.
On social media, she posted a photo of herself kneeling in prayer, writing, “I ask. I receive. I give you thanks.”
The post resonated with fans, many of whom praised her faith and acknowledged her ongoing comeback. Others also expressed excitement over her return to television via ABS-CBN’s primetime drama “Sigabo.”
Katherine plays Pia Catacutan, a character who stirs tension in the workplace of Sam, portrayed by Julia Montes. Viewers have welcomed her performance, marking a steady step in her return to acting.
Her comeback was made possible after being personally invited by Coco Martin, one of the show’s directors and producers and a longtime friend. Katherine has also credited Julia for supporting her as she rebuilds her life and career.
Earlier this year, Katherine opened up on TikTok about her recovery from drug addiction, thanking Coco and Julia for standing by her during a difficult period.
In March 2025, she revealed she had spent four years in prison for drug-related offenses involving a former partner. Since then, she has committed to sobriety, saying she distanced herself from people and situations that could trigger a relapse.
She has also turned down multiple invitations to protect her progress, choosing to focus on healing, faith, and rebuilding her life.
