Maxie celebrates queer solidarity, saying “mas powerful kami ‘pag madami kami.”
“Drag Race PH” Season 3 star Maxie is giving fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse from her latest music video “LABAN,” which she described as a celebration of queer solidarity.
In a Monday press conference, the drag performer said each scene in the video carries a deeper meaning tied to Filipino queer experiences. She added that her favorite part was the bridge sequence, where a large group came together to highlight unity within the community.
“Nagsama-sama kaming bakla,” Maxie said. “Kasi mas powerful kami ‘pag madami kami. ‘Pag nagdadamay-damay at nagsasamahan tayong mga bakla.”
After wrapping the shoot, Maxie made sure the cast celebrated together. The group turned their production bus into a moving party, complete with videoke, dancing, and a final night of bonding over drinks.
“You have to be happy. Kailangan ini-enjoy mo every moment,” she said. “So sabi ko, ‘Go! Magpabili na tayo ng alak para makapag-bonding na tayong mga bakla!’”
