Filming in the extreme heat of Morocco, Ivana opens up about her undeniable chemistry with Joshua and her radiant return as a beauty brand ambassador.
Ivana Alawi is back on TV, and this time, viewers can expect plenty of kilig moments with her new leading man, Joshua Garcia, in the upcoming ABS-CBN series “Love Is Never Gone.”
A Moroccan “action-romance” adventure
Filmed in Morocco, the series tested the actors under extreme heat, but Ivana admitted the experience was both challenging and rewarding.
“Oo, perfect na perfect siya kasi sa Morocco, napakainit talaga. Kung iyong araw natin dito mainit, mas mainit doon,” she shared.
Balancing long taping days with her vlogs has been tricky, leading Ivana to take a short pause from online content.
“Siguro medyo mababawasan lang ng kaunti ang vlog. Kasi mahirap mag taping tapos mahirap rin mag-vlog. Ang hirap ipagsabay ng dalawa so, ang priority ngayon ay tapusin ang serye. After taping balik na tayo agad sa vlog,” she explained.
Ivana had nothing but praise for Joshua, particularly during their most memorable scenes.
“Iyong last scene namin, talagang grabe pala siya—‘Higop King,’” she recalled, adding that she later teased him by asking, “Humigop ka?”
Kidding aside, Ivana admitted the scenes were lovely and kilig. “Siyempre crush ko iyon. Pero professional pa rin,” she added.
Prioritizing the craft
Despite her packed schedule, Ivana still makes time to care for her skin, crediting a simple beauty routine and consistent sunscreen use for her glowing look.
“Dati noong hindi pa ako nag-glow up, talagang ang itim ko pala kasi hindi ako nag-sunscreen ng maayos… kaya as I grew older, important pala kahit nasa bahay ka naka sunscreen ka,” she recalled.
The radiant homecoming
Fans will also see Ivana’s radiant glow in campaigns again, as she recently renewed her partnership with a leading beauty brand, marking her return as a brand ambassador. “This truly feels like a beautiful return,” Ivana said.
