Maymay Entrata and Joaquin Enriquez ‘hard-launch’ romance with sweet beach video.
Fans are in kilig overload after actress-singer Maymay Entrata and Filipino-American model Joaquin Enriquez appeared to hard-launch their rumored romance through a tender beach video posted on Instagram on Oct. 19.
The short clip opens with Joaquin walking alone along the shore, enjoying the calm waves.
Moments later, Maymay runs toward him and wraps him in a warm embrace—before Joaquin responds with a gentle kiss on her temple.
The intimate moment instantly sent netizens into a frenzy, with many convinced that the two are now officially together. Joaquin’s caption, “I finally found my Iris,” only added fuel to the fire—especially after Maymay replied, “My lover.”
By “Iris,” Joaquin could be referencing the background song used in the video—“Iris” by the Goo Goo Dolls. The track was famously written for the film “City of Angels,” about an angel who gives up his immortality to be with the woman he loves.
Adding more spark to the rumors, Maymay shared on her Instagram Stories a photo of a bouquet of roses accompanied by a heartfelt note:
“Congratulations on completing your MV (music video), doing good on your taping, and everything you do. I’m so proud of you, baby. I love you.”
She captioned it: “Thank you, my lover,” with a red heart emoji and tagged Joaquin.
Though neither has officially confirmed their relationship, their affectionate posts seem to tell their own story. This marks Maymay’s first public romantic link since her past relationship with non-showbiz Canadian boyfriend Aaron Haskell, whom she reportedly unfollowed on social media in May 2024.
The “Amakabogera” hitmaker and “Madame Hula” star continues to capture the spotlight not just on stage and screen, but also, it seems, in matters of the heart.
