NAIA tops ‘world’s worst airports’ list by travel vlogger Drew Binsky, citing overcrowding, delays, and passenger woes.
Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) has landed at the top of American travel content creator Drew Binsky’s list of the world’s worst airports, putting the Philippines’ main international gateway in an uncomfortable spotlight.
“This airport has held the title of worst airport in the world for several consecutive years in travel surveys. It’s notorious for overcrowding, frequent flight delays, and minimal air conditioning, which makes it feel like a sauna in the tropical climate,” Binsky said in a clip he posted on his Facebook account on June 9. “Terminals are confusingly separated and require long transfers, often leaving passengers stranded or scrambled for time.”
The rest of his list includes Heraklion International Airport in Greece at No. 2, Tribhuvan International Airport in Nepal at No. 3, London Luton Airport in the United Kingdom at No. 4, São Paulo–Guarulhos International Airport in Brazil at No. 5, Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Kenya at No. 6, Malta International Airport at No. 7, Charles de Gaulle Airport in France at No. 8, John F. Kennedy International Airport in the United States at No. 9, and Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Vietnam at No. 10.
Binsky is a global travel content creator known for documenting his journeys across every country in the world, with millions of followers across platforms who follow his on-the-ground travel observations.
NAIA topping the list highlights a recurring issue for many travelers: airport experience shapes the first and last impression of a destination, and for the country’s main gateway, it underscores ongoing challenges in congestion, efficiency, and passenger flow.
