The Miss Universe president fires back at claims of an ownership change, calling recent statements “fairy tales” as the organization prepares for its 75th-anniversary milestone.

The Miss Universe Organization (MUO) has firmly pushed back against growing speculation about a possible change in ownership, following reports that several business figures have shown interest in buying or taking over the global pageant brand.

Among those mentioned in recent news developments is Filipino business tycoon and political figure Luis “Chavit” Singson, a claim that prompted a strong response from Miss Universe president Raul Rocha.

The official stance: “no changes in ownership”

In an official statement, the organization clarified that it is entering a historic phase as it prepares to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the competition, an achievement that highlights decades of global influence, cultural relevance, and continued advocacy for women’s empowerment.

Amid this milestone, the organization found it necessary to address what it described as false and misleading statements regarding its ownership and leadership.

Rocha’s fiery response: “delusional fool”

The statement stressed that recent claims suggesting acquisition opportunities or an impending takeover misrepresent the organization’s current structure and appear intended to confuse the public, improperly solicit investments, or exploit the Miss Universe brand for personal benefit or visibility. The organization made its position unequivocal: Miss Universe remains under its existing ownership and leadership, with no changes taking place.

Miss Universe also revealed that its legal team is actively reviewing the matter and will take all appropriate steps to prevent further unauthorized, misleading, or deceptive statements. Protecting the integrity of the brand, its partners, and the public remains a central priority, especially as the organization continues to move forward with the same leadership and long-term vision that have guided its growth and success.

While the official statement maintained a composed and professional tone, Rocha’s personal reaction was noticeably more direct. Sharing the statement on his Instagram story, the Miss Universe president expressed frustration over the ongoing rumors and the individuals linked to them.

“I’m fed up with that delusional fool and his daughter making statements, dreaming of something he wouldn’t be able to achieve in hundreds of years,” Rocha wrote. “Keep dreaming—my lawyers will put an end to your fairy tales.”

As speculation continues to circulate, the Miss Universe Organization urged the public, partners, and members of the media to rely solely on its official channels for accurate and verified information, emphasizing that updates regarding leadership, ownership, or structure will be released exclusively through its official platforms.
