In their first-ever collab, “Tarantadong Tmao” will mount an exhibit dedicated to the Batang ’90s.

Sculpter-painter Toym Imao and komikero Tarantadong Kalbo (Kevin Raymundo) are teaming up for the first time to headline the 2026 Modern and Contemporary Art Festival (MoCAF).

In a June 8 post, MoCAF announced that Imao and Raymundo—collaborating as “Tarantadong Tmao”—will mount the special exhibit “After-Noon Delights,” exploring the shared experiences of the Batang ’90s.

“Remember when afternoon naps meant missing out on hide-and-seek, tumbang preso, and all the fun happening outside?” the festival said. “The phrase ‘Batang 90s lang nakakaalam’ may have started with one generation, but the memories it speaks of continue to live on.”

Also joining this year’s lineup are acrylic painters Jerika See and Sheila Go, along with muralist Jappy Agoncillo. Chinabank, a returning festival partner, will also showcase 100 artworks from 100 artists.

Now in its fourth year, MoCAF 2026 will have 50 galleries here and abroad showcasing artworks. Participants include Ysobel Art Gallery, Fundacion Sansó, Art Underground, and White Walls Gallery, as well as Japan’s SHIKISAISHA GALLERY and Gallery Kogure, Singapore’s White Space Art Asia, and Spain’s Kate Contemporary Madrid.

Organizers are also rolling out expanded programs this year.

MoCAF XTN, the festival’s extension platform, will open more exhibition spaces for galleries and artists.

MoCAF Discoveries, which spotlights rising artists, will feature select alumni who will showcase how their practices have evolved.

For the first time, digital artists will be included—with art supplies store Art Caravan printing and framing their works.

MoCAFLimited, a booth for artist-made merchandise, is partnering with lifestyle brand Team Manila for a limited-edition capsule collection.

XTN Artisans, a creative fair within the festival, will spotlight Filipino handicraft and indie brands, including MILKWEAR, Baybayin, Armore Collective, Anmari & Co., and Binibini Marikit.

XTN Bites will gather curated food brands, including ODD Café, Butterboy, Hijo De Mexican Cantina, The Good Poison, Fiasfud, Bored & Hungry, The Spirits Library, and SIPP.

MoCAF 2026 runs from July 3 to 5 at the Marquis Events Place in Bonifacio Global City.

Tickets are worth ₱380 via Klook—with discounts available for students, PWDs, and seniors.
