The P-pop queens are riding a wave of global buzz after their historic performance

BINI is among the acts that delivered the “most memorable moments and sets” during Coachella 2026, according to American music magazine Rolling Stone.

In “Coachella 2026: The 15 Best Moments from Weekend One,” BINI stood out among the 59 acts that performed on Day 1 of the giant music festival’s opening weekend from April 10 to 12 (April 11 to 13 in the Philippines).

“Being the first Filipino group to perform at Coachella, the eight-woman-strong BINI knew how big their moment on the Mojave stage was, and they delivered and then some,” said Rolling Stone senior news editor Althea Legaspi, who also praised Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena’s “well crafted choreography” with their male backup dancers.

Historic Mojave debut and Rolling Stone acclaim

Legaspi highlighted the Nation’s Girl Group singing in English, Filipino, and a mix of both, as well as the release of its new EP, “Signals.” She also cited memorable songs from the 10-track set, like “Blush,” “Karera,” “Salamin, Salamin,” and “Pantropiko.” She added, “It has been a long time coming for P-pop to hit the global stage, and they made Pinoys proud.”

The “best moments” list also included David Byrne of Talking Heads, Jack White, sombr, Karol G, and Iggy Pop.

Following its historic, explosive Coachella performance, BINI has continued to ride a wave of global buzz. Minutes after its set, it quickly became the top trending topic on X—even as social media was flooded with screenshots, fancams, and reactions, especially from the Philippine entertainment industry. It also made a special appearance on British pop artist flowerovlove’s set on Day 3.

Fashion icons and the road to the GRAMMY Museum

The Walo has since been featured across several American media outlets. It even landed Vogue’s “The Best Celebrity Coachella Outfits of 2026 So Far” and Teen Vogue’s “The Coachella 2026 Outfits From Weekend 1 You Absolutely Must See” lists.

Ahead of the festival, the P-pop queens shone in a Los Angeles Times feature, with writer August Brown noting BINI “arrives in the desert at an important pivot point for Filipino artists around the world.” He also said its music is “broadly appealing, undeniably lovestruck and hooky”—and can “keep pace” with Coachella headliner Sabrina Carpenter’s “velvety neo-disco.”

BINI will return to the Coachella stage on April 17 (April 18 in the Philippines). Its global presence is only set to grow post-Coachella: an appearance at the GRAMMY Museum on April 21 (April 22 in the Philippines) and a “Signals” world tour with stops in the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, Singapore, and Taiwan.
