From cozy holiday photos with Marco Gumabao to playing the “third party” in “Almost Us,” Yuki opens up about friendship, fame, and facing fan fury head-on.

The sparked romance rumor between Yukii Takahashi and Marco Gumabao started last January 2026 after the new actress posted holiday photos together.

But after a month, the two reportedly split up, followed by Yukii’s clarification that they were just friends. Marco’s last showbiz relationship was with Cristine Reyes, and their relationship lasted for two years.

With radar Entertainment’s interview with Yukii at the recent “Almost Us” press conference, the actress didn’t deny that her cozy pictures with the actor are real, but she again clarified that they are just good friends.

“Those pictures, they were real, yes. We’re friends,” she insisted.

According to the internet personality, she is happy right now, but she chose not to divulge details about her personal relationship. “Status? Ngayon, I am happy.”

“Well, this movie isn’t about me. So, I just want to give the grace na it’s about the movie. ‘Yon talaga,” she pointed out.

Bracing for the JMFyang backlash

Yukii will play the role of the third party between Fyang Smith and JM Ibarra’s character in “Almost Us.” The media asked Yukii if she is prepared for JMFyang fans’ hatred and bashing.

“Of course, I am ready with the fear of getting bashed, but at the same time, if I will get bashed, maybe it’s for a good reason–because I’m effective. Yes, sana ma-enjoy ng fans, so whatever they feel is all valid. Mainis sila, matuwa sila, and, hopefully, maiyak sila sa film.”

She added: “My role was short, but I could say it was a very meaningful job. Grabe talaga yung script and the cast, so I kinda fell in love with the movie. I hope everybody will fall in love with how good it is, too.”

Yukii even shared with us the reason JMFyang is supported, accepted, and loved by fans. “They’re so natural as individuals, sobrang totoo, which I admire. I think ‘di ito typical sa showbiz. They’re very raw.”

“Almost Us” is set to be shown this coming May 6 in cinemas nationwide. Produced by Regal Entertainment Inc. and Project 8 Projects, under the direction of Dan Villegas, this romantic comedy film also stars Sam Samarita, JM Salvacio, and Dustin Yu.
