Cesca Litton marks one year post-chemo, opens up on survivorship struggles and strength.
TV host and sports anchor Cesca Litton is marking a major milestone in her cancer journey, one year after completing chemotherapy.
In a heartfelt post shared on June 27, Litton revealed she had finished six cycles of treatment on the same date in 2025—coinciding with Cancer Survivors Month, a detail she only realized later.
Now one year into survivorship, Litton opened up about the complex realities that come with life after cancer, describing it as both a second chance and an ongoing emotional battle.
“What is survivorship, really?” she wrote, before laying out the contradictions—grief and gratitude, fear and resilience—that define her experience.
She spoke candidly about the lingering physical and emotional toll, from the “ache in your bones” to the anxiety that comes with every follow-up test. Survivorship, she said, also means learning to move forward while carrying both visible and invisible scars.
Despite the challenges, Litton emphasized choosing to live fully. “I live, I breathe, I climb mountains literally and figuratively,” she said, adding that she remains grateful for both the good and difficult days that shaped her.
The media personality also shared that she is currently in remission status under “No Evidence of Disease,” with four more years to go before she can be officially declared cancer-free.
Ending her message on a note of solidarity, Litton reached out to fellow survivors. “Just because we carry it well doesn’t mean it’s easy,” she said, encouraging others to continue pushing forward.
Litton has been open about her breast cancer diagnosis and recovery, using her platform to raise awareness and inspire others facing similar battles.
