The clerk was puzzled by why the suspects chose to take advantage of an “honest worker” like him.
A lechon manok clerk went viral after losing two chickens to alleged thieves. But online users seemed just as concerned about another detail: his looks.
In an interview with GMA Regional TV’s One Western Visayas, Charito, 19, said two men appeared ready to pay—even showing him their money.
But upon getting their order worth ₱560, the men went to their motorcycle and left without paying. Because Charito was stationed behind the shop’s window, he could only watch as they escaped.
While the missing chickens were the reason for his post, many online reactions quickly shifted to the young clerk himself.
“Ang gwapo gin kawatan [ang pogi ninakawan] ,” one user commented.
Others went beyond sympathy and offered to cover the amount he lost.
“Nd nana pag paminsara, ako nana mabayad [Wag mo na yang isipin, ako na ang babayad],” another user wrote.
Charito said he was not angry over what happened, but was puzzled by why the suspects chose to take advantage of an “honest worker” like him.
Charito may have lost two chickens to thieves, but he ended up gaining something unexpected: dozens of admirers online.
