The first-time father jokes about “jiu-jitsu,” playing dentist, and the joys of raising baby Leon.
First-time parents Mikael Daez and Megan Young are discovering that raising their first child comes with a long list of unexpected skills—and the actor recently gave fans a glimpse of the funnier side of fatherhood.
Mikael took to social media to share some of the things he never expected to learn after becoming a dad, including playfully “wrestling” with his son and pretending to be a dentist during their nightly routine.
“I never realized how many new skills you need to learn when you have a child. The usual change [of] diapers and all are a given but i didnt think that i had to learn how to jiu jitsu my child and play dentist every night,” Mikael wrote.
Rather than complain about the challenges, the actor admitted that he is enjoying every bit of the experience.
“I am having so much fun doing it though Leon isnt gonna out wrestle me anytime soon,” he added.
Mikael and Megan have been candid about their transition into parenthood, often sharing glimpses of their everyday experiences with their son. Their stories highlight how caring for a child has brought a different kind of joy and adventure to their marriage.
The couple tied the knot in January 2020 through two intimate ceremonies. They first exchanged vows privately on January 10 at Calaruega Church in Batangas, surrounded by only 10 loved ones. They later held a more relaxed celebration and reception on January 25 at San Roque Chapel and El Kabayo in Subic.
Five years into their marriage, Mikael and Megan welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Leon, on May 20, 2025. They announced his arrival on May 28, sharing photos and video reels that documented their journey from pregnancy to becoming a family of three.
