Katya Santos, Maui Taylor, Andrea del Rosario, and more bring the iconic girl group back onstage.
The iconic Viva Hot Babes are finally set to reunite for a much-awaited concert this October, bringing together members of the group whose music and image became part of Philippine pop culture in the early 2000s.
The announcement came after one of the group’s members, Katya Santos, shared the official poster for the reunion show on social media. The concert is scheduled for October 23, 2026, at the New Frontier Theater in Araneta City, Cubao, Quezon City.
Katya captioned the announcement, “LABAS MGA KIKAY! NAGBABALIK SILA IN ONE ICONIC REUNION CONCERT.”
Joining her onstage are fellow Viva Hot Babes members Maui Taylor, Andrea del Rosario, Gwen Garci, Sheree, Jaycee Parker, Ella V, and Jennifer Lee.
The reunion comes after previous talks of bringing the group back together were downplayed by Katya, who acknowledged that the members had taken different paths over the years.
“Unfortunately, we all have our own different paths to prioritize right now. We love the idea but it may not happen anytime soon,” she previously shared.
Katya also addressed the group’s enduring place in Philippine pop culture, emphasizing that their legacy goes beyond hype and comparisons.
“To everyone who has shown love and to those who may not fully understand us yet: We’d like to gently set the record straight. Viva Hotbabes holds a place in Philippine pop culture that we’re deeply grateful for,” she said.
“Not because of hype or comparison, but because we were part of a time that celebrated confidence, individuality, and fearless self-expression. We weren’t just a group — we were a moment, a feeling, and a reflection of an era that many still remember fondly,” she added.
For years, calls for a Viva Hot Babes reunion have echoed across social media, fueled by nostalgia and renewed interest in iconic girl groups from the late 1990s and early 2000s. The clamor grew louder following the successful series of reunion concerts mounted by their contemporaries, the Sex Bomb Girls.
Now, those long-standing reunion talks are becoming a reality as the members prepare to share the stage once again.
The group is known for popular tracks such as “Bulaklak,” one of their biggest breakout hits and signature dance tracks; “Kikay,” an upbeat single released in 2004; and “Basketbol,” the carrier track of their 2005 dance album.
With veteran director GB Sampedro at the helm, the upcoming concert is poised to give longtime fans a nostalgic celebration while bringing the Viva Hot Babes’ music and legacy to a new generation of audiences.
