Margarette Briton, Jamie Casiño deliver double int’l crown victory for PH

Margarette Briton and Jamie Casiño bring home major pageantry crowns from Indonesia and Thailand.

The Philippines had double the reason to celebrate as two Filipino queens captured international crowns on the same night, with Margarette Briton making history at Miss Interglobal 2026 in Bali, Indonesia, while Jamie Casiño was crowned Miss Equality World 2026 in Thailand.

Briton delivered a historic victory for the country after emerging as the inaugural Miss Interglobal, becoming the first woman to wear the pageant’s crown and giving the Philippines its first title in the competition.

Representing the country as Miss Interglobal Philippines 2026, Briton had already made a strong impression even before the coronation. She collected four special honors throughout the competition: the Star Connect Award, Social Impact Award, National Costume Excellence Award, and Dinner Dress Award.

The recognitions highlighted her strengths in presentation, fashion, audience connection and social impact, setting the stage for her eventual victory.

Briton competed under ALV Pageant Circle, headed by Arnold Vegafria, and carried the Philippine sash to Bali determined to establish the country’s presence in the new international competition.

She ultimately capped her campaign with the biggest prize of the night, the Miss Interglobal 2026 crown, securing her place in the pageant’s history as its first-ever queen.

Meanwhile, in Thailand, Jamie Casiño also brought home an international crown after being named Miss Equality World 2026.

Casiño steadily advanced through the competition before reaching the crucial final rounds, eventually making it to the final three and delivering the performance that earned her the coveted title.

Her victory was made even more meaningful by the advocacy she carried throughout the competition. Casiño received the Voice of Equality Award for Project MORE, an initiative done in collaboration with Love Yourself and Masterpiece Hospital.

The recognition reflected her commitment to equality, empowerment and meaningful social action, giving her international campaign a purpose beyond the competition itself.

Known as a TikTok content creator and influencer, Casiño entered Miss Equality World carrying the Philippine sash while championing representation, inclusion and the importance of using one’s platform to create positive change.

Her victory also became a celebration of LGBTQ+ representation, with Miss Equality World providing a global stage where beauty, individuality and advocacy intersect.

While Briton made history as the first Miss Interglobal, Casiño turned her advocacy-driven journey into an international victory of her own.

Their simultaneous triumphs gave the Philippines a rare double celebration in international pageantry, with two Filipina queens raising the country’s flag in different competitions and different countries on the same night.

From Bali to Thailand, Briton and Casiño proved once again that the Philippine sash continues to carry weight on the international pageant stage.
