The actress opens up about her dating approach while addressing chemistry with co-star Luis Hontiveros.
Actress Kylie Padilla appears to be taking a more relaxed approach to dating, choosing to enjoy getting to know people without feeling pressured to immediately commit to a relationship.
Her love life has drawn attention from fans, particularly because of the friendships and onscreen partnerships she has formed with other men.
Kylie was previously linked by some followers to her Korean TikTok friend Ethan, with whom she regularly creates playful content. She has clarified, however, that their closeness is rooted in friendship and their shared interest in entertainment rather than romance.
More recently, attention has shifted to her chemistry with Luis Hontiveros, her co-star in “Taskforce Firewall.”
The pair’s natural rapport has caught the attention of viewers, prompting speculation about whether their onscreen connection could develop into something more. Kylie, however, sees their chemistry primarily as an advantage in bringing their characters to life.
“Our chemistry is strong, so naturally it shows through the screen. So why not feed it if it’s there?” she said.
Kylie revealed that their connection was already noticeable when they first met. Despite their natural chemistry, she stressed that they still take time to discuss how they approach their scenes.
“The chemistry is there, but of course, when it comes to how we do a scene, we talk about it,” she added.
While their onscreen spark has fueled interest among viewers, Kylie has not indicated that their chemistry necessarily translates into a real-life romance. For her, a convincing connection between actors also comes from communication and collaboration.
Meanwhile, Kylie has revealed that several men have been showing interest in her. Rather than feeling the need to immediately choose someone, she appears to be enjoying the freedom of getting to know people at her own pace.
“I was also surprised,” Kylie said in an interview with “Unang Hirit.”
She then jokingly summed up her current approach to dating: “You know the saying, ‘collect then select?’ I’m finally doing it.”
Her playful remark reflects a more carefree attitude toward romance. Instead of actively looking for a relationship, Kylie seems comfortable allowing connections to develop naturally and deciding later whether any of them could lead to something more meaningful.
For now, the actress appears to have no plans to rush her love life. With her “collect then select” mindset, Kylie can simply enjoy meeting people, appreciate the attention and let each connection unfold in its own time.
Beyond dating rumors and onscreen pairings, motherhood remains an important part of Kylie’s life. She shares two sons, Alas and Axl, with her former husband, Aljur Abrenica.
