
The former Miss Universe teases exciting new songs being produced following her Awit Awards nomination.
Beauty queen-turned-singer Catriona Gray is showing no signs of slowing down her musical journey as she teases more songs currently in the works.
Gracing the red carpet of the 39th Awit Awards, Catriona Gray was nominated for her song “Every Christmas,” which she jokingly admitted was a fitting recognition for the season.
“I’m very flattered naman that it was attached to me but then sana may happy songs rin,” she quipped.
Beyond her Christmas track, Catriona revealed that she has several songs in the works, including some that are more personal to her. She also shared that being surrounded by fellow artists at the awards ceremony has further inspired her to continue making music.
“It’s about time. I’ve been talking about this for [a long time] and I think I want to say more through music,” she said.
Catriona added that she feels she has reached a point in her life where she is ready to express more of herself through music, revealing that some of her songs have already been written and are currently being produced.
“I have some songs that are already written and being made, so I’m very excited,” she shared.
Asked what kind of music currently speaks to her heart, Catriona said: “Basta masaya ako.”
