Free rides run from 7 – 9 AM and 5 – 7 PM.
National ID holders can ride the LRT-2 for free on Thursday, Oct. 1, as part of the Philippine Statistics Authority’s (PSA) celebration of the 37th National Statistics Month.
The free rides will be available during the morning and evening peak periods, from 7 AM to 9 AM and 5 PM to 7 PM, the PSA said.
Commuters only need to present their National ID to avail themselves of the offer. The PSA said accepted formats include the physical National ID card, the paper-format National ID and the Digital National ID.
The initiative is being offered by the PSA in partnership with the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA).
The National Statistics Month is observed every October to promote awareness of the importance of statistics in policymaking and programs.
