A Filipina based in Dubai has gone viral after putting her engagement ring up for sale on Threads, revealing that her former fiancé had gotten another woman pregnant.
“Engagement ring for sale. Pm me. Reason: nkabuntis sya,” she wrote, posting photographs of the ring inside its box and on her finger.
The post attracted more than 303,000 views, with netizens reacting to her heartbreak and unusually humorous approach to selling the jewelry.
The woman later revealed that she and her former partner had been together for five years, while the woman he allegedly impregnated had known him for only eight months.
“Totoo sis sa 5yrs hindi. Sa 8months lang ng kakilala nabuntit,” she replied to one commenter.
Her revelation triggered sympathy, disbelief, and jokes about the ring itself.
“Liit na nga ng diamond na kaya ibigay, nagloko pa,” one netizen remarked.
Another commented, “The diamond is not giving. I hope u find someone better!!!”
The woman disclosed that the white gold ring originally cost AED 1,450 but was now being sold for AED 1,000, complete with its receipt.
When someone jokingly offered AED 200, she refused, saying she wanted to recover something for the emotional damage.
Others warned that the ring might carry bad luck, while several demanded the full story behind the breakup.
She promised to share more details once the ring was sold.
For now, what was supposed to symbolize five years of love has become a secondhand item looking for a new owner.
The engagement is over, but the ring is still available.
