Actor Adrian Alandy shares tips for mental conditioning and pain management after his 4th metacarpal fracture.

Actor Adrian Alandy is recovering after undergoing surgery for a fourth metacarpal fracture on his right hand. The injury was sustained during a recent basketball game.

Alandy shared news of the operation on Facebook, confirming the procedure was performed by Dr. Rich Pasion. Despite the fracture, the actor reported a smooth recovery process.

Mental conditioning and pain management

“Doing well naman after the surgery, pain is tolerable naman after the 3rd day after surgery,” Alandy told radar Entertainment in a text message on Thursday.

Regarding his recovery technique, he noted: “Tip is to do deep breathing and mostly mental conditioning na you will overcome the pain.”

Currently, Alandy is focused on physical therapy to restore his mobility. “Right now mild hand movements lang to regain flexion,” he added.

Return to work for “The Loved One”

The injury is not expected to sideline the actor for long. Alandy is scheduled to return to work this Saturday to attend the press conference for his upcoming project, “The Loved One.”
