Group caring for rescued dogs and cats says daily shelter costs exceed ₱20,000 amid rising feeding needs.
A rescue group caring for abandoned dogs and cats in Bulacan is appealing for public support as its food supply runs critically low.
Animal Rescue PH, a shelter based in San Miguel, Bulacan, said it is struggling to sustain daily feeding operations as supplies continue to run out while funding remains limited.
The group said it cares for rescued animals full-time at its shelter, where daily food and maintenance costs reportedly reach over ₱20,000. Expenses include food, veterinary care, medicines, utilities, cleaning materials, and salaries of shelter helpers.
The shelter said it relies largely on public donations, livestream support, and small online contributions to continue operations.
It is now calling for donations in cash or in-kind support such as dog and cat food, rice for dogs, chicken meat and organs, medicines, cleaning supplies, cages, and other basic shelter needs.
The group also encourages support through its Facebook livestreams, where viewers can send stars or subscribe to help fund daily operations. Even small contributions, it said, help keep the shelter running and ensure the animals are fed.
