As “Huwag Kang Titingin” enters post-production, Anthony talks about love, faith, career focus, and why he’s still in “courting” mode with Shuvee Etrata.
Model-turned-actor Anthony Constantino continues to carve his path in the entertainment industry, proving he can thrive both as an influencer and an actor.
But in an industry that moves so fast, Anthony says he keeps himself grounded and makes sure to find time for the people who matter to him, especially his “favorite person,” Shuvee Etrata.
“This industry is so, so fast. I keep myself grounded and keep my head on my shoulders. Without a doubt, I’m really soaking everything in. It’s such a blessing to have all these opportunities, so I’m taking it day by day,” he shared in an interview with the press during his brand endorsement deal with S&J Beauty supplements.
Anthony is also gearing up for his first film, the Gen-Z dark romcom “Huwag Kang Titingin.”
“Actually, I’m very, very surprised. Who would’ve thought I’d work on a rom-com?” he said. “So, for me to get a Gen-Z war film—and it’s obviously very funny—most of us are excited. We already finished the whole movie, and now it’s in post-production. A lot of my friends are there, too. It’s my first film, and I learned so much from everyone.”
Work as top priority
Despite their busy careers, Anthony says he and Shuvee put work first, but they never forget to support each other.
“Work is first for us. That’s our priority. Career talaga. Shuvee and I want to support each other. She supports everything I do, so I really want to uplift her, too,” he said. “Not many artists get these blessings and opportunities. We’re just soaking everything in and learning how to enjoy our time.”
When asked how their “babe time” is going, Anthony laughed and admitted, “Until now, I’m still courting her. I think what I’ve learned is showing up, showing my love and showing my time for her.”
Even with his packed schedule, Anthony says he makes sure to be present, no matter how simple the gesture.
“You guys know what kind of person Shuvee is. She’s very, very strong. Not being with her… yeah, I really miss her. But of course, we both have work, and I learned to give her some alone time, too. But of course, I miss her.”
Despite the controversies thrown at Shuvee, Anthony says his support remains steady and intentional.
“I provide support by simply showing up, regardless of the situation.” Love is love in any way. If you love another person, you support them however you can. And for Shuvee, communication is key. I talk to her, and I show her she is loved. If I love, I will be there if I can,” he pointed out “Of course, I have work, but if I’m available, I’ll be there and give my best effort for her.”
Mom’s blessings
Anthony also revealed that his mother has given her blessing to Shuvee in a meaningful way.
“My mom really trusts my gut. I’m very picky with who I allow in my life and circle, so my mom trusts my judgment. But, of course, getting her approval is not that easy. Our faith in God is very big, and when my mom found out about Shuvee, she wanted to gift her a Bible.”
He explained that the gift was his mom’s way of keeping Shuvee grounded amid all the opportunities coming her way. “With all the blessings she’s receiving, she needs to stay grounded, and that Bible will be very, very big for Shuvee.”
