
Diesel drops ₱24.94/L this week, extending two-week cuts to roughly ₱47.94/L.
Fuel prices are set to decline for the second consecutive week, with diesel posting a steep rollback of nearly ₱25 per liter, bringing pump prices below the ₱100 mark.
In separate advisories, oil companies announced the following adjustments effective 6am on Tuesday, April 21:
- Gasoline: ₱3.41 per liter decrease
- Diesel: ₱24.94 per liter decrease
- Kerosene: ₱2.00 per liter decrease
The sharp drop in diesel prices marks one of the largest single-week rollbacks in recent months, extending last week’s downward trend and offering relief to transport operators and businesses reliant on fuel.
With the latest adjustment, average diesel prices are expected to fall below ₱100 per liter, a level not seen in recent weeks as global oil prices begin to ease.
A fortnight of relief
Across two consecutive weeks of rollbacks, total reductions have reached around ₱9.91 per liter for gasoline, ₱47.94 per liter for diesel, and ₱13.50 per liter for kerosene, based on oil company advisories.
In its advisory, Shell Pilipinas Corp. said:
