Gasoline and kerosene also head higher.
Fuel prices are set to rise again starting 6 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, with diesel, gasoline, and kerosene all expected to move higher in the latest adjustment cycle.
Based on the Department of Energy’s computation, diesel is projected to increase by ₱1.57 to ₱3.57 per liter. Gasoline is seen either moving down by ₱1.75 per liter or rising by up to ₱0.25 per liter, though early indications point to an upward adjustment. Kerosene is also projected to go up by ₱1.70 to ₱3.70 per liter.
As of press time, only Seaoil Philippines Inc. has released an advisory to its dealers. The company said its price changes, effective 6 a.m. on July 7, include a ₱3.30 per liter increase for diesel, a ₱0.25 per liter increase for gasoline, and a ₱1.75 per liter increase for kerosene.
After the adjustment takes effect, diesel is expected to average around ₱74.30 per liter, while gasoline will average around ₱79.60 per liter.
The latest movement signals another round of upward pressure on pump prices, with early advisories pointing to increases across all major fuel products despite the wider range projected by the Department of Energy.
