The dramedy actress shows full support as her husband and longtime friend reunite in a new comedy.
Dramedy actress Kim Molina stepped out in full support of her husband, Jerald Napoles, and long-time friend Pepe Herrera as they team up for Viva Films’ newest comedy, “Ang Pinakamasarap na Pares sa Balat ng Lupa.”
Speaking at the red-carpet premiere, Molina fondly dubbed the duo her personal “love team,” reflecting on their years together as theater stars in the hit musical “Rak of Aegis.” For Molina, seeing them reunite on the big screen is more than just another movie pairing. It is a celebration of a real-life brotherhood and stage chemistry that has entertained audiences for years.
Fresh off their respective blockbuster hits, “Love, Ngo” and “Home Along Da Riles: Da Reunion,” Napoles and Herrera join forces under director Raynier F. Brizuela. The hilarious road comedy follows two best friends in a chaotic story where friendship, food, and total mayhem collide.
The film follows Don (Herrera), a dramatic, easily rattled man who receives a devastating diagnosis: he has only 24 hours left to live. Determined to make his final hours count, Don sets out to fulfill one last wish—to taste the legendary pares featured in a viral vlog and once loved by his late grandmother.
Accompanying him on the wild food trip is his loyal, quick-thinking “ride-or-die” best friend, Mola (Napoles). While Mola is always ready with a plan, his street-smart schemes usually land the duo in deeper trouble.
What begins as a simple quest for the ultimate bowl of pares quickly spirals out of control. To make matters worse, while the pair are busy hunting down the dish, a corrupt doctor is hot on their trail, determined to harvest Don’s secretly healthy liver.
“Ang Pinakamasarap na Pares sa Balat ng Lupa” opens nationwide in cinemas on August 26, 2026.
