Lucas Andalio earns the MMFF 2025 Best Child Actor award, drawing heartfelt congratulations from Loisa Andalio, Vice Ganda, and Baron Geisler during the Gabi ng Parangal.

The 51st Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Gabi ng Parangal on December 27 in Makati City celebrated many milestones, but one of the night’s most heartwarming moments belonged to Lucas Andalio, who was hailed Best Child Actor of the Year.


Lucas’ win marked a standout achievement in a festival that highlighted both seasoned performers and rising talents. His performance resonated strongly with audiences and critics alike, proving that age is no barrier to delivering depth, emotion, and impact on screen.

Following the awards night, proud aunt Loisa Andalio took to X to celebrate Lucas’ victory in a deeply personal way. She shared throwback photos of herself and Ronnie Alonte with Lucas when he was still a baby, offering fans a glimpse into their close family bond long before Lucas stepped into the spotlight as an award-winning child actor.


She capped her post with an emotional message that quickly resonated online: “Baby ka lang namin dati!!!!!! Congratulations Baby Lucas namin Best Child Actor!!!!! 😭❤️🙌🏻🙏🏻 WE LOVE YOU!!!!”

Loisa later directly congratulated her nephew, writing, “Congratulations Baby Lucas namin Best Child Actor!!!!!” a message that reflected both her pride as an aunt and her joy over Lucas’ recognition at one of the country’s most prestigious film festivals.

Lucas’ achievement was also celebrated onstage and online by his co-actors. During the Gabi ng Parangal, Vice Ganda, who also took home his first Best Actor award for “Call Me Mother,” couldn’t hide his excitement over the young star’s win.


“Yeheeeeeeeeyyyy nanalo ‘yong anak ko!!!! Lucas is the BEST CHILD ACTOR!!! Pwede nakong umuwi!!!!” Vice wrote on X.

Actor Baron Geisler, who played Lucas’ father in the ABS-CBN series “Incognito,” likewise shared his pride.

“Congratulations Lucas!! So so proud of you!! Keep up the good work!! Love you, kid!!” Geisler posted.


With an MMFF award now under his belt and an outpouring of support from family and industry peers, Lucas’ future looks bright.

His Best Child Actor win not only cements his promise as a young performer, but also stands as one of MMFF 2025’s most feel-good and inspiring moments.
