Maja Salvador welcomes the new year by sharing the first and only photo of her daughter, Maria, while affirming her commitment to protecting her child’s privacy.
The new year opened with a tender reveal for Maja Salvador as the actress shared a glimpse of motherhood on her own terms.
On New Year’s Day, Salvador posted the first-ever photo of her daughter, Maria—an intimate moment carefully framed by love, gratitude, and a clear promise of protection.
The photo was shared as Salvador and her family welcomed 2026 in Canada, where they marked the holidays surrounded by snow and loved ones.
Describing the post as a rare and deliberate choice, the actress made it clear that this would be the only image she would share for now, emphasizing pride in her child while drawing firm boundaries around her privacy.
“To our Maria, posting this one and only photo para ipakita namin sa buong mundo kung gaano kami ka-proud sa pinakamalaking blessing na natanggap namin,” Salvador wrote.
She followed it with a heartfelt vow: “Pangako ni Mama and Dada na poprotektahan ka namin at ang privacy mo kahit anong mangyari, anak. So when the time comes, may choice ka kung paano mo gusto makilala ng mga tao.” She ended simply, “We love you so much, anak.”
Salvador gave birth to Maria on May 31, 2024, months after she and her husband announced they were expecting.
The couple first tied the knot in a secret civil wedding on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, 2023 in Manila. This was later followed by a grand wedding on July 31, in Bali, Indonesia.
By choosing restraint over spectacle, Salvador’s first public post about her daughter became less about visibility and more about intention welcoming the year with a message of love, choice, and quiet joy.
