‘Mali talagang manakit tayo ng tao:’ Maxie Andreison owns up to past violence.

Just hours after a viral video showed Maxie Andreison slapping and kicking a person during a confrontation, the “Drag Race Philippines” Season 3 winner has publicly apologized, taken full responsibility for her actions, and admitted there was no excuse for resorting to violence.

During a livestream, Maxie said she had already reached out to the people involved and that both sides had apologized to one another.

“Nag-usap na kami at nakapag-sorry na ako sa kanila at nag-sorry na din sila. Nakapagpatawaran kami sa isa’t isa and we’ve moved on,” she shared.

Looking back on the incident, which happened around three years ago but recently resurfaced through a viral video, Maxie said she wished she had handled the situation with a clearer mind.

Kahit saang aspeto hindi talaga ako katanggap-tanggap that time. Kasi mali talaga siya, mali talagang manakit tayo ng tao,” she said.

Maxie stressed that she was not speaking publicly to defend herself but to acknowledge her mistake.

Pasensya po at nadisappoint ko kayo,” she said.

She also admitted that the incident weighed heavily on her, especially after the video resurfaced online.

The drag queen said the experience became a turning point in her life and credited the people who have helped guide her since then.

Tina-try ko namang magbago after that incident. Andami kong natutunan at andami ko ding napag-aralan at hanggang ngayon pinaparangalan pa rin ako. Ayaw ko na maulit ‘yon,” she said.

The viral video, which spread widely on social media, showed Maxie slapping and kicking another person during a confrontation outside a venue, drawing criticism from fans who were disappointed by the physical retaliation.

Accounts circulating online claimed the incident began after an intoxicated fan allegedly pulled Maxie’s wig, which had been glued to her scalp, causing her pain. They also alleged that Maxie mistakenly confronted the wrong person before the misunderstanding was eventually resolved.

While many netizens acknowledged the context surrounding the incident, others welcomed Maxie’s decision to take accountability rather than justify her actions, with many saying her apology showed growth and a willingness to learn from one of the darkest moments of her career.
