PAL to offer daily Manila-Melbourne flights starting November 19

Philippine Airlines will increase its Manila-Melbourne service from five to seven flights weekly ahead of the year-end travel season.

Philippine Airlines (PAL) is increasing its Manila-Melbourne service to daily flights starting November 19, adding capacity ahead of the year-end travel season.

The flag carrier currently operates five flights a week on the route. The additional frequency gives passengers more scheduling options during the holiday period, while also boosting cargo capacity between the Philippines and Australia.

PAL said the expanded service will also make it easier for passengers from Australia to connect through Manila to destinations across the Philippines and its wider international network.

Under the new schedule, flight PR 209 will leave Manila at 8:20 p.m. and arrive in Melbourne at 7:30 a.m. the following day. The return flight, PR 210, will depart Melbourne at 9:20 a.m. and arrive in Manila at 2:25 p.m.

The airline currently operates daily flights to Sydney and Brisbane, as well as three weekly flights to Perth.

The Melbourne expansion comes as PAL marks 55 years of service to the Australian city on September 10, 2026. The airline launched the Manila-Melbourne route in 1971.
