From co-production grants to hands-on workshops, Stage Post helps filmmakers achieve cinematic-quality audio while championing emerging voices in Philippine cinema.

Stage Post Audio and Music Productions Inc. is set to support the 2026 Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival with a co-production grant offering full audio post-production services to one selected full-length film and one student short film.

The grant covers major creative team expenses, including the work of a re-recording mixer, sound designer, dialogue editor, foley and effects artist, and ADR (automated dialogue replacement) specialist.

As co-producer for the chosen projects, Stage Post will provide these services, exclusive of miscellaneous costs.

Empowering the next generation of sound

“The filmmakers are telling powerful, very human stories, and our goal at Stage Post is to make sure their work is experienced with the same depth and clarity they intended,” says Paulo Almaden, Stage Post managing director. “This partnership is a chance to collaborate with seasoned storytellers, as well as champion new voices who deserve to be heard at the highest level of craft.”

All Puregold CinePanalo filmmakers will also receive an exclusive 50 percent discount on audio post-production services should they choose Stage Post as their sound partner.

Beyond direct support for production, Stage Post aims to deepen filmmakers’ understanding of audio craftsmanship through education and hands-on experience.

“Para sa Panalong Tunog” workshop series

To achieve this, the company will launch “Para sa Panalong Tunog: Audio Post Essentials,” a workshop series designed to standardize audio deliverables across all CinePanalo films while emphasizing the vital role of sound and music in storytelling. The program features a combination of online and in-person sessions covering topics such as storytelling through music, sound design for surround formats, dialogue editing, foley techniques, mixing, and post-production workflow management.

Participants will also get a guided tour of Stage Post’s facilities, an orientation on international audio standards, and a special session with an invited industry expert.

Through this partnership, Stage Post will extend its expertise and resources to help emerging and established filmmakers achieve professional-level audio standards.

Each CinePanalo full-length or student short film is entitled to two workshop slots, allowing a maximum of two representatives per film. Priority will be given to student shorts finalists and those availing of the co-production grant or the exclusive discount.

A festival of growth

As Puregold CinePanalo enters its third year, this collaboration with Stage Post underscores the festival’s commitment to producing world-class Filipino films. By providing resources, expertise, and training, Stage Post aims to help filmmakers achieve professional-level audio standards that enhance clarity, emotion, and cinematic depth.

As an official festival partner, Stage Post looks forward to helping CinePanalo filmmakers bring the full power of their stories to life through sound.

The 2026 Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival will run at Gateway Cineplex 18 and select Ayala Cinemas. For more information, visit the official Facebook page at facebook.com/puregoldcinepanalo.
