Health update on Miss Glenda.

At just 29 years old, Glenda Dela Cruz—CEO of Brilliant Skin Essentials and known online as “Miss Glenda”—has suffered another stroke, raising concern over serious health risks among young adults.

In a social media post, Dela Cruz shared that she rushed herself to the Emergency Room of St. Luke’s Medical Center on April 16 after suddenly losing mobility in her left leg.

“I woke up and couldn’t move my left leg. Akala ko pagod lang… but after 10 minutes, mas nanghihina ako,” she wrote. “I rushed to St. Luke’s QC ER. After the MRI, I broke down. Another stroke. Another clot in my brain.”

Prioritizing recovery

Beyond the recurrence, doctors also discovered a hole in her heart, which is scheduled to be closed in three months after prioritizing treatment for her brain. She has since been discharged from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and is preparing for heart surgery.

Dela Cruz previously revealed in an interview with Ogie Diaz that she had been hospitalized in 2025 after suffering a stroke and pneumonia—making her latest condition a troubling recurrence at a relatively young age.

Her story has sparked alarm online, with many pointing out how uncommon—and concerning—it is for someone in their 20s to experience repeated strokes. Supporters flooded her post with messages urging her to slow down, manage stress, and prioritize her health.

“Grabe madam ang bata niyo pa ho pero madalas na kayo na-istroke… Kaunting ingat po kasi traydor ang ganyang sakit,” one user commented.

“Masyado ka pa pong bata para magkasakit… Get well soon po,” another added.

Despite the ordeal, Dela Cruz remains determined to recover, saying the experience has given her a renewed sense of purpose.
