The first Radisson RED hotel opens in Mandaue City.
Fresh momentum continues to build in Cebu’s rise as a tourism and business hub as the first Radisson RED hotel in the Philippines opens in Mandaue City.
Cebu Landmasters, Inc. (CLI)opened the ₱1.99-billion Radisson RED Cebu Mandaue this April, bringing the brand’s design-led, upscale concept into one of the country’s fastest-growing urban centers. Radisson RED is the hotel chain’s premium offering for travelers seeking a more elevated, experience-driven stay.
Strategic positioning
The development features 144 rooms and three dining options, alongside lifestyle amenities and event spaces, positioning the property to capture both corporate demand and leisure traffic. Its location places it within reach of major business and tourism hubs such as Cebu IT Park, Cebu Business Park, and the Mactan Cebu International Airport.
Radisson Hotels first entered the Philippine market in 2013 with Park Inn, its midscale line, in partnership with SM Hotels and Conventions Corp. The Cebu launch marks a step up in its local expansion, moving further into the premium segment.
The arrival of higher-end hospitality brands signals growing confidence in Cebu’s ability to attract bigger-spending visitors and business activity, as growth increasingly shifts beyond Metro Manila.
Cebu is moving upmarket. With the opening of the country’s first Radisson RED in Mandaue City, Cebu Landmasters is betting nearly ₱2 billion on a new generation of travelers.
