At C Lounge, Heures d’Orange turns fragrance profiles into curated tea pairings and themed bites in a limited-run collaboration with The Amenity Studio.
Afternoon tea used to feel like a predictable hotel afternoon tradition. That’s increasingly becoming a thing of the past, replaced by curated experiences that bring something more layered and unexpected to the table. One of the latest ones we’ve sampled recently is an afternoon tea built around scent, design, and personal choice, offering a glimpse into how luxury in the Philippines is moving toward more interactive lifestyle spending.
At Conrad Manila’s C Lounge, Hermès fragrance profiles lead the way in shaping how the entire experience unfolds for guests. Each scent is paired with a corresponding tea, then carried through to savory bites, pastries, and confections built around the same sensory direction, turning the afternoon set into something that feels guided rather than simply served.
The ritual of discovery
Called Heures d’Orange, the set is created with The Amenity Studio and runs as a limited offering from April 27 to July 31. Guests begin by selecting from five Hermès scent testers, each one unlocking a matching tea profile, from citrus-forward blends like Eau d’Orange Verte to floral and herbal notes inspired by jasmine, green tea, chamomile, and sencha. The selection then carries into a full spread of curated bites presented in a Hermès-themed orange box.

Taste meets top notes
The savory and sweet selections follow the same logic as the fragrances. Duck prosciutto is paired with fig-orange compote and brioche; crab meat is lifted with green apple and avocado, while tuna is given a sharper edge with ginger and crisp textures. On the sweeter side, mango rose macarons, citrus tarts, and chocolate bonbons echo the brightness and depth of the scent pairings, extending the experience beyond taste into memory and association.
Set against C Lounge’s bayfront view, the experience unfolds at an unhurried pace, with each stage designed to be explored rather than rushed. It begins with fragrance discovery, moves into tea pairing, and ends with a presentation that brings everything together in a single visual and sensory moment.
The experience works because each element holds its own while still fitting into a single flow. The food is carefully put together, the fragrance sets the tone, and the setting carries everything in between. Taken together, it becomes an afternoon that feels less like a set menu and more like something you move through step by step.
It also arrives at a timely moment, with Mother’s Day around the corner, when shared experiences tend to feel a little more intentional than usual.
Conrad Manila debuts the Hermès-inspired ‘Heures d’Orange’ tea set. From fragrance discovery to citrus-forward bites, discover why this scent-led afternoon ritual is Manila’s most coveted Mother’s Day experience.

How to make the most of "Heures d’Orange" experience
The fun of this set is discovery. Don't go for your usual Earl Grey; choose the scent that makes you feel most relaxed or energized, and let the pairing surprise you.
Time your reservation for 4:30PM. This gives you enough time for the fragrance discovery and savory rounds before the Manila Bay sunset hits its peak during your dessert and final tea pours.
While you can't take the Hermès testers home, the experience is designed to be highly visual. Bring a camera—the "Orange Box" presentation is one of the most photographed culinary moments in the city around this time.
Book at least 48 hours in advance, especially for weekends. This limited collaboration is already seeing high demand from the local fashion and lifestyle community.
