Travelers can now take a direct trip from Metro Manila to Banaue, Ifugao, reducing the need for multiple transfers on one of Northern Luzon’s most popular routes.
Direct trips between Metro Manila and one of the country’s most popular mountain destinations are becoming easier to access after the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) opened a new route to Banaue, Ifugao, this week.
The new service, operated by G.V. Florida Transport, began operations on June 22 and connects PITX directly to Banaue while passing through 20 stops across Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Nueva Vizcaya, and Ifugao.
The route, which the terminal said starts operating at 9:30 PM, is expected to benefit tourists visiting the world-famous Banaue Rice Terraces, as well as students, workers, and residents traveling between Metro Manila and Northern Luzon.
After leaving PITX, the bus passes through Pura in Tarlac; six towns and cities in Nueva Ecija, including Guimba, Science City of Muñoz, and San Jose City; eight locations in Nueva Vizcaya; before continuing to Lamut, Kiangan, Lagawe, Hingyon, and Banaue in Ifugao.
The new route expands direct provincial access from PITX and reduces the need for multiple transfers, which have long been part of traveling to some destinations in the Cordillera region.
Unofficial reports circulating online suggest the end-to-end fare is around ₱940, although passengers are advised to verify ticket prices directly with the operator at PITX.
