BayaniChain founders behind blockchain-powered transparency systems named in Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list.

Two Filipino tech entrepreneurs are inspiring the next generation of digital builders by making public records easier to verify and harder to tamper with.

Raphael Sevilla and Brandon Angelo Wong, co-founders of BayaniChain Tech, were included in the 2026 edition of Forbes’ 30 Under 30 Asia list under the Consumer and Enterprise Technology category for their work in blockchain-powered transparency systems.

Founded in 2021 alongside co-founder Paul Soliman, BayaniChain develops digital infrastructure for government agencies and regulated industries where record integrity, auditability, and long-term data security are critical. Rather than focusing on cryptocurrency, the company positions itself as a builder of “truth infrastructure” designed to verify records, automate audits, and strengthen accountability.

The startup first gained attention through projects involving the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), which became the first Philippine government agency to use blockchain technology to publish and verify key budget documents such as Special Allotment Release Orders and Notices of Cash Allocation.

According to industry data, the DBM blockchain system has already secured trillions of pesos’ worth of budget transactions and was cited in legislative discussions exploring broader blockchain adoption in government.

BayaniChain also helped develop GoodGovChain, a governance platform piloted by the Baguio City local government. The platform records budget, procurement, and infrastructure data on a blockchain-based system intended to make government transactions more transparent and auditable.

With Filipino startups now building solutions for consumers and institutions managing billions of pesos and millions of public records, technologies that could improve public trust are now becoming opportunities for innovation.
