Duo’s follow-up track recorded two years ago remains shelved as both focus on solo careers.
OPM singer-songwriter Adie revealed that he and Janine Berdin have already recorded a new collaboration—one that has been sitting in the vault for the past two years while waiting for the right time to be released.
Speaking during Janine Berdin’s “MORE LAB SONGS NG MGA TANGA” deluxe album listening party, Adie shared that the song was recorded shortly after the success of their 2022 hit “Mahika.”
“May na-record na kami two years ago after ng hit namin na ‘Mahika,’” he said. “Bumebwelo lang din kami kung kailan namin siya ire-release kasi siyempre may mga individual careers din kami, and gusto lang din namin magpa-miss.”
Released in May 2022 under O/C Records, “Mahika” became one of the biggest OPM hits of the year, topping the Billboard Philippines Songs chart and earning millions of streams for its heartfelt portrayal of falling deeply in love.
Since then, both artists have continued to pursue their individual careers. Janine recently released the deluxe edition of her latest album, MORE LAB SONGS NG MGA TANGA, while Adie is preparing for his Pulso Canada Tour 2026, where he will perform alongside Kean Cipriano and Kenaniah for Filipino audiences in Alberta.
While Adie did not reveal a release date for their long-awaited reunion track, fans of “Mahika” now have another collaboration to look forward to—one that’s been waiting in the wings for two years.
