
PSA data shows region’s ₱246.38B production anchors national supply across key segments
Central Luzon remained the country’s top agriculture hub in 2025, reinforcing its role in the Philippine food supply chain.
Data from the Philippine Statistics Authority showed the region generated ₱246.38 billion, accounting for 13.8% of the country’s ₱1.79 trillion total value of production in agriculture and fisheries at constant 2018 prices. The scale underscores its weight in national supply and its influence on pricing and distribution.
Mindanao’s growing influence
Northern Mindanao followed with ₱182.35 billion, while CALABARZON posted ₱138.25 billion, representing 10.2% and 7.7% shares, respectively. Together, these regions account for a significant portion of overall output, pointing to where production capacity is concentrated.
Across segments, Northern Mindanao led crop production at ₱120.15 billion or 12% share, with Cagayan Valley next at ₱106.73 billion, or 10.7%. Central Luzon ranked third in crops at ₱94.99 billion or 9.5%.
Poultry and livestock resilience
In livestock, CALABARZON posted the highest value at ₱33.47 billion or 13.8%, followed by Central Luzon at ₱31.04 billion or 12.8%, and Northern Mindanao at ₱28.61 billion or 11.8%.
Central Luzon led poultry production at ₱78.77 billion, accounting for 25.9% of the total, while CALABARZON followed with ₱63.37 billion or 20.8%. Northern Mindanao posted ₱26.81 billion or 8.8%.
The region also topped fisheries, generating ₱41.57 billion or 17% share. Western Visayas ranked second at ₱25.94 billion or 10.6%, while SOCCSKSARGEN recorded ₱22.12 billion or 9%.
The data points to a supply structure anchored on a few high-output regions. Stable performance in these areas supports a steady flow of goods, clearer sourcing visibility for businesses, and more predictable pricing conditions across the market.
