Actor praises frontliners, supports OCD campaign for resilience during National Resilience Month.

Actor Dingdong Dantes joined the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) on Sunday for the Panatag Pilipinas advocacy run held during the Ayala Car-Free Sunday Run in Makati, marking National Resilience Month.

“Happy to have joined the Office of Civil Defense this morning for its #PanatagPilipinas advocacy,” Dantes said in a post on his Facebook account. “Always inspiring to meet the men and women who quietly do the work of keeping our communities safe and who are ready to respond whenever disaster strikes. Maraming salamat for everything you do.”

He described the morning as both meaningful and reflective, adding, “A meaningful Sunday, good company, and a reminder that there are people working every day to help keep us safe. Definitely a morning well spent.”

The run gathered participants from various sectors, highlighting the role of community engagement in strengthening disaster preparedness and response.

Panatag Pilipinas is a nationwide campaign led by the OCD that aims to raise public awareness on disaster resilience, promote preparedness at the community level, and recognize the efforts of frontliners who work to keep Filipinos safe in times of crisis. Its activities, including runs, forums, and on-ground activations, underscore the importance of building a culture of readiness amid the country’s vulnerability to natural hazards.
