Drag superstar Brigiding launches new podcast ‘Beyond the Brand’

The ‘Slaysian Royale’ winner returns to audio with deep talks and fresh perspectives.

Filipino drag superstar Brigiding is stepping back into the audio space with a brand new podcast. The “Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale” winner recently launched “Beyond the Brand.”

This is a follow-up to her previous YouTube interview show, “The Brand.” While her original podcast focused heavily on the personal origin stories of her guests, this new iteration aims to dig a little deeper. Brigiding is using her guests’ lived experiences as a jumping-off point to explore broader, more relatable life lessons.

“I want to go beyond that story and talk about the things we can take from it,” Brigiding shared.

The host shared that she wants to find the universal takeaways in individual stories, noting that even though people go through wildly different things, there is always something in another person’s journey that can make listeners feel seen or change their perspective.

To mix things up, the show will feature a variety of personalities from completely outside the drag world to bring in fresh perspectives.

However, Brigiding kept it in the local drag family for the debut. The premiere episode, which dropped on August 16, features her Season 1 sister Minty Fresh for a candid conversation titled “Beyond the Confidence.”

Fans can catch up on “Beyond the Brand,” which is currently available to stream on both YouTube and Spotify.
