Once-private space to host workshops, co-working, events.
US-based Filipino artist Geloy Concepcion has announced that his “Bad Days are Temporary” studio will soon open its doors for co-working, art workshops, team meetings, and intimate events.
The 32-square-meter space in UP Village was originally set up as a private residence and hangout spot for Concepcion’s family and close photographer friends. It was designed to mirror his California home, where he lives with his wife and daughter.
Before moving to the United States, Concepcion built his career in Manila as a street artist and photographer. He gained widespread attention through his Instagram project, “Things You Wanted to Say But Never Did,” which featured anonymous confessions written over film photographs.
He later expanded the project into a bestselling book and art exhibit, while also venturing into content creation and launching the merchandise brand “Bad Days are Temporary,” which eventually became the studio’s namesake.
In a 2025 interview with Rolling Stone Philippines, Concepcion described the space as deeply personal and exclusive to family and friends. “Masyado siyang personal para mag-papasok ng mga tao na ‘di mo masyadong kilala,” he said.
The upcoming opening signals a shift for the studio, marking its transition from a private creative space to a more accessible community hub.
While details on bookings and schedules have yet to be announced, the news has already sparked excitement online, with fans expressing eagerness to visit the space they previously only saw through Concepcion’s content.
The move also comes as demand grows for “third spaces” in urban areas, driven by evolving work setups. Once open, the studio is expected to offer a new option for creatives and professionals in Quezon City seeking a place to work, collaborate, or gather.
