Actress Kathryn Bernardo finally met her wax figure at the Madame Tussauds unveiling ceremony held Thursday during its exhibition in Makati.
The actress joins the roster of Filipino stars immortalized by the world-famous wax museum, alongside Anne Curtis, Pia Wurtzbach, Catriona Gray, Manny Pacquiao, and Lea Salonga.
Based on the unveiled figure, Kathryn’s wax twin was inspired by her appearance at the 2023 Outstanding Asian Star Awards. Showcased in the attraction’s Fashion Zone, the figure is dressed in the original gown created by Filipino designer Martin Bautista, capturing one of the actress’ most memorable red carpet looks.
During the unveiling, Kathryn shared that the figure took years of planning and collaboration before every detail was finalized.
“This is my Kath-twin, everyone. This is her first stop, and she will be flying to Hong Kong after this,” she said.
Following its Makati debut, the wax figure will be flown to Hong Kong, where visitors at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong will have the opportunity to get up close and interact with the actress’ lifelike wax twin.
