REGASCO implements early reduction following excise tax suspension, with other LPG firms expected to follow in coming weeks.
A ₱3.00 per kilo rollback, or around ₱33 for an 11-kg LPG cylinder, has taken effect today, April 14, 2026, following the suspension of excise tax on LPG.
Republic Gas Corporation (REGASCO), a 100% Filipino-owned LPG company, is among the first to implement the adjustment, reflecting the immediate pass-through of the tax relief to consumers.
The move comes after the government ordered the suspension of excise tax on LPG and kerosene, a measure aimed at easing fuel costs for households. The tax component being removed is estimated at around ₱3 per kilo.
A volatile horizon
While REGASCO has already implemented the rollback, other LPG companies have yet to announce similar price cuts. Industry players are expected to follow in the coming weeks, depending on inventory costs and pricing cycles.
The adjustment is expected to provide immediate relief for households that rely on LPG for daily cooking, particularly amid elevated living costs in recent months. However, the pace of full price alignment across the sector will likely vary, as companies work through previously taxed stock and adjust to the new pricing environment under the suspension order.
Cooking gas gets cheaper today! REGASCO slashes ₱33 off 11-kg LPG tanks following the excise tax suspension. Find out when other major players are expected to follow.
