Mass store closures reported across Vietnam, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Indonesia.
OH!SOME may be the next international chain to leave the Philippines as clearance sales and delayed branch openings fuel closure speculation among fans.
Netizens pointed out that the OH!SOME Arca South branch in Taguig City was holding a clearance sale throughout September despite only opening in June.
The supposed sale, offering items at 50% off, follows OH!SOME’s worldwide 2nd anniversary sale in August.
“Kakabukas lang niyan, nag-clearance sale agad?” remarked one Threads user on September 7.
Lifestyle retailer OH!SOME entered the Philippines in December 2025 with its inaugural branch at One Ayala, Makati City. The franchise then opened branches in Gaisano Mall of Davao, Davao City and Starmall San Jose del Monte, Bulacan in January 2026.
A job opening posted to a Facebook hiring group in October 2025 lists three additional branches supposedly meant to open alongside the OH!SOME Philippine launch, but no updates have been issued as of press time.
Ayala Malls Capitol Central in Bacolod City was supposed to have an OH!SOME branch by December 2025, while Ayala Fairview Terraces in Quezon City announced a store opening in January 2026. As of press time, the designated spaces remain boarded up, and OH!SOME has not announced any store opening in those malls.
The third branch was listed as Ayala Malls Cloverleaf in Balintawak, Quezon City, but no materials were reportedly seen at the mall indicating a future OH!SOME store.
The closure speculation follows mass store closures in Vietnam, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Indonesia that began in June this year.
OH!SOME launched in Indonesia in 2024 and is operated by the Blue Origin Group, headquartered in Singapore.
Shoppers noticed that OH!SOME replaced the Indonesia stores of Chinese retailer KKV, with some speculating that the Blue Origin Group’s license to operate the Chinese lifestyle retailer’s stores had expired.
OH!SOME left the Hong Kong and Singapore markets entirely, while dozens of stores across Indonesia have also reportedly shuttered.
OH!SOME Philippines has not responded to radar Business’ request for comment.
