DHL Express raises PH rates by 5.9%.
DHL Express is raising its rates in the Philippines by 5.9% starting January 1, 2027, adding another cost to businesses and consumers that rely on international shipping.
The company said the annual adjustment takes into account inflation, currency movements and higher operating costs, including energy, labor, customs compliance and security requirements.
That means Filipino exporters, online sellers and businesses sending products overseas will have to account for higher shipping costs in their operations. Customers sending documents, gifts and packages abroad will also pay more.
DHL Express said the rate adjustment will support its global network as international trade and supply chains become more complex. The company said it has been investing in its aircraft fleet, facilities, security systems and digital tools, including its MyExpress platform.
The increase comes as shipping and other logistics costs remain a key expense for businesses engaged in cross-border trade. Even a single-digit rate hike can add up for companies making frequent international shipments.
