Solenn Heussaff is working on a new series of paintings, with some pieces set to be available for viewing in Rockwell next week and others headed to Paris in October.
She shared a glimpse of the works on Sept. 3, posting photos of herself in white as she painted large canvases marked by flora-inspired brushstrokes.
“Been working on a new series!” she wrote. “My heart is full!”
Heussaff began taking formal art classes at age 3. She later studied still arts at the Mile Long Building and took nude drawing classes at the Ayala Museum. She also studied fashion design at Studio Berçot in Paris.
Her first solo exhibition, “Our People,” opened at Pineapple Lab in Makati in 2016. She went on to explore Filipino subjects and social realism in “Kalsada” (2017) and “Kundiman” (2021), before collaborating with textile artist Olivia d’Aboville for “VĪTA” in 2024–2025.
In July, Heussaff presented “Into the Unseen Garden,” a seven-piece series at Provenance Art Gallery in Rockwell that marked her first full venture into abstract art.
Beyond visual art, Heussaff has worked as an actress, model, makeup artist, fashion designer, and television host.
