Angeline Quinto proves ‘Patuloy ang Pangarap’ with six dreams still unfolding

From earning her degree to chasing a Best Actress award and building a family, Angeline proves it’s never too late to dream bigger.

“Sa isang pangarap, ako’y maniniwala…”

For over a decade, those words have carried countless Filipinos through disappointments, fresh starts, and impossible odds. Angeline Quinto’s signature anthem became a reminder that somewhere ahead, one dream is waiting to shine.

Years later, life has quietly rewritten the song’s message.

Because if there’s anyone proving that dreams are never limited to one, it’s the woman who sang them. Today, Angeline no longer chases a single dream. She wakes up every day believing in six.

Not six wishes written on paper, but six promises she continues to fulfill—one graduation, one concert stage, one acting goal, one business venture, one family, and one hundred percent of courage in reaching these dreams, one at a time.

A dream fulfilled is never the finish line

At 36, Angeline crossed a stage she never stopped dreaming about. After years of balancing concerts, television tapings, motherhood, and sleepless nights, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Marketing Management from Immaculada Concepcion College. It was more than a diploma—it was a promise kept for her late adoptive mother, ‘Mama Bob.’

Her words resonated with many working Filipinos who have put their education on hold. Last March, Quinto revealed that she had kept her academic journey a secret to surprise her family. 

“Hindi alam ng family ko and asawa ko… Sinabay ko sa filming, sa taping, sa trabaho.. Kaya thankful ako na nalagpasan ko lahat ‘yon,” she admitted. “Kaya talagang ang pagtupad ng pangarap walang pinipiling edad ‘yan. Kahit wala na si Mama Bob, itinuloy ko pa rin mangarap,” she said.

That same determination echoes in another milestone waiting just around the corner. This August, Angeline celebrated 15 years in the music industry through “AQUINSE,” a thanksgiving concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. While many artists look back on longevity with nostalgia, she sees it as another chapter to celebrate with the audience who helped build her career.

Yet despite the accolades, Angeline continues to speak about another dream still left unchecked on her list—to one day win a Best Actress award. Once laughed at for saying it aloud, she has since built an acting portfolio that stretches from romantic comedies to critically recognized performances, proving that dreams dismissed by others are often the ones worth pursuing the most.

Beyond music, Quinto has steadily carved out a space in acting, beginning with her big-screen debut opposite Coco Martin in “Born to Love You,” before earning a Golden Screen Award for her breakthrough performance in the television series “Kahit Konting Pagtingin.” 

She later appeared in the beloved family film “Four Sisters and a Wedding,” as the ever-famous ‘Princess Antonette Mae Bayag,’ the Philippine adaptation of “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim,” and most recently headlined and co-produced “Ang Happy Homes ni Diane Hilario.”

With every role, Angeline continues to prove that she is more than the powerhouse vocalist audiences have long known—she is an artist still determined to grow until that long-awaited Best Actress recognition finally becomes reality. 

Dreams grow beyond yourself

Success has also changed the way Angeline defines ambition. The singer who once focused on building a career now dreams of building opportunities for others. Already running her skincare brand “Twinqle,” she hopes to open a food business someday, inspired by her love for cooking.

But perhaps the dreams closest to her heart are the ones that don’t come with trophies or profit.

She openly says she wants all of her children to become successful in life.

Together with husband Nonrev Daquina, Angeline raises a blended family with six children under one roof. Their son Sylvio and daughter Azena Sylvia carry pieces of Mama Bob’s legacy in their names, while Angeline has wholeheartedly embraced Nonrev’s children from previous relationships as her own.

Her YouTube vlogs rarely showcase celebrity glamour. Instead, viewers see school routines, family trips, grocery runs, and the beautiful chaos of parenting—a reminder that even one of the country’s most celebrated singers measures success through ordinary moments at home.

The brightest dream is the one you help shine

Among Angeline’s six dreams is one that says a lot about who she has become as she also dreams of seeing Nonrev succeed.

In an industry where celebrity stories often revolve around individual achievements, Angeline’s aspirations extend beyond herself. She has openly spoken about wanting her husband to flourish in his own journey, just as he has stood beside hers—from the early days when their relationship was questioned to the life they continue to build together today.

It is an outlook that quietly challenges the idea that success must always be personal. Sometimes, the biggest victories are shared.

For years, “Patuloy ang Pangarap” inspired listeners to believe that somewhere ahead, one dream would finally light the way. Angeline still believes in that message.

She simply learned that life has a way of multiplying dreams. One became a diploma. Another became a sold-out concert. Another still waits backstage. Some now answer to “Mama,” while another walks beside her as “asawa.”

Perhaps the song was never about finding the dream after all. Perhaps it was always about finding the courage to keep dreaming, again and again, until every dream has its chance to shine.
