New cultural destination in Baler now open to the public, showcasing Aurora’s history, culture, and natural heritage.
A new regional heritage museum opens in Baler today as the National Museum of the Philippines–Baler opens its doors to the public on June 30.
Curated exhibitions highlight Aurora’s history, culture, traditions, and natural landscape, offering a closer look at how the province’s identity has been shaped over time. The museum in Baler adds another stop for visitors to explore in a town better known for its beaches and surf culture, expanding the range of experiences available in the area.
Admission to the museum is free and it is open to the public from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM on its opening day. It is described as a space dedicated to stories of meaningful encounters and Aurora’s natural environment, including geological features such as serpentinite from Diguisit Beach.
